Types words on it's own... (4 Comments)

The program types words on its own, "him him him him him". While waiting for program to finish processing my last sentence, or as I'm waiting to receive a thought for my next sentence, that's when the program types those words on its own. Can anyone help?

Dragon 14 Pro Individual ERROR: Reading text to improve accuracy (1 Comment)

After much tedious "Reading text to improve accuracy", I get a long-winded error that basically says that the dictated text can't be saved to some file and that I should try again.

That is more time wasted on top of having already having to reinstall Professional Individual once, which corrupted my Premium 13 upgraded voice files that were working well.

Although I only purchased and installed Professional Individual on 27 September, my profile says my support has expired? Is that possible?

Does Dragon NaturalSpeaking 13 English version include both UK and US English?

I've been unable to use the product properly and the error code is "Com returned and unexpected error code. Details are: E_NOINTERFACE. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a workaround? Can someone help me make this work?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, Checked to make sure there was no previous version on the machine, made sure there were no services running, pretty much nothing I try to get the software to run works.  Running on Win 7 Enterprise, 64 bit.

Regardless of the amount of attempts Nuance Tech Support has tried DNS 13 will not install correctly on my computer.  It is frustrating since I have used ver 11 for years and they just cannot figure out why other than to say it just is not compatable with all Windows 7 systems.  They had to refund me my costs since they agreed they just cannot fix the issue.

I am using DNS 11 Medical Edition, whenever I dictate A/C Joint it comes out as "Before Meal joint" i have searched every where and cannot find this relationship to remove it. Please help

I've had Dragon 12.5 installed on a laptop running Windows 8.1 Pro with 32 GB RAM.  Dragon normally starts up within seconds.  Tonight I've tried to start it several times from the desktop but the splash screen just "hangs."  Rebooting didn't solve the problem.  The only change I've made has been upgrading my antivirus Zone Alarm to the latest version, 14.0.522.0.  Anyone have any ideas?


Windows 10 and Dragon 12 compatible?

My friend is using Win 7 at this time but while online her computer hangs up quite often and nothing will respond. She's hoping upgrading to Win 10 will help. Before doing the upgrade i need to be sure there will be no compatibility issues.

Hot Key Error launches Dragon Pad

I cannot figure out why every time I turn on Dragon Naturally Speaking my "d" key fails to type "d" and instead launches a Dragon Pad. My hot hey is set to "ctrl+d" not just "d". And it does not matter what program I am using... Word, Chrome, just Windows.

This is driving me crazy because the program is pretty much worthless now that I have to close it every time I actually want to type something. BTW, I can type a capital D by holding down Shift+d. I just can't type a lower case d. And I have reset the Dragon hot keys to default.

Using Dragon Professional Individual 14, when I bring up the correction box (by pressing the minus key), I usually get two options - one with the exact same text in title case, and the other with the exact same text in all caps. Neither option is typically useful, so I then have to manually input the corrected text. 

Is anyone using this version, and is there a setting that needs to be changed in order to bring up the multiple "sound-alike" correction options, which were more useful? Thank you!

Hi,

I've tried to install this software several time and at the conclusion of the install (which takes 30m each time due to the downloading) gives the message: "Error 1920.Service Dragon Logger Service (DragonLoggerService) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

I have previously installed Dragon Naturally Speaking 12 & 13 on this machine without problems and have full administrator rights on the machine.

Dragon Won't Dictate While Working with Video Editing Software

Hello group.

Yesterday I installed Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13.0 in my Windows7 Pro PC running 64 bit.

Dragon will come up on line after clicking the icon on my desktop.  The program works absolutely fine when working with Microsoft Word and others.

My problem is when I tried to get it work with a video editing software called Edius 7.5.  I've even tried using the dictation box but still cannot get Dragon to work when I have my editing software operating.

I want to use Dragon for writing titles while editing.

Read Back Function, Question Mark, No Pause

I have DNS 13 operating on Windows 8.1. 

In the Audio/Read Back function, I noticed that a question mark at the end of a sentence, with or without the conclusion of a quote at the end of the sentence, does not cause Read Back to briefly pause, as it does when there is a period.  Is there a way I can instruct Read Back to pause after a question mark?

Dragon Completely Shuts Down When Trying to Change Hot Keys

Has anyone had an issue with Dragon shutting down any time you try to change the Hot Keys in Tools/Options/Hot Keys? If so, how can I stop this so that I can change the Hot Keys?

Dictation Box + Word Templates

Hi All,

We run Dragon Naturally Speaking 13 Professional and we're having trouble dictating directly into a word template. It always says its a non supported application when trying to dictate directly into these word templates (normal word documents work OK) and just brings up the dictation box.

Is there anyway to fix this or change settings to resolve it so we don't need to use the dictation box?

Running dragon in tray icon mode (2 Comments)

I absolutely do not like the dragon bar and use it only in tray icon mode. However, recently I've started having problems when I try to exit dragon. I close out dragon by right-clicking the system tray icon but dragon does not exit. If I check back a while later, the icon is still there (the process is running in task manager) and this time, there is no exit command on the system tray icon! This means every time I want to exit dragon, I have to force close it using the task manager. How do I stop this from happening?
