7/31/14 -- When I was using DNS 12.51, I could dictate a subject line in a Thunderbird email and merely say "cap that" to capitalize the last phrase I spoke. This command no longer works in Thunderbird outside of a dictation box. I get "That" instead. I tried to enforce the command by pressing the control button, but I get a "Please say that again" box and no response.
When I dictate the body of my email messages I always use the dictation box to improve accuracy. But when I dictate 25+ emails per day I enjoyed the convenience of dictating the subject line without having to use the dictation box.
7/31/14 -- The problem does not exist in DragonPad, that is, the command "cap that" does capitalize the last phrase dictated. The problem also does not exist in the dictation box.
The command works in Microsoft Word 2010, Quicken 2014, Acrobat Pro 9, Microsoft Notepad, and Windows Explorer. BUT I have encountered the problem in Thunderbird, Windows Explorer search, Microsoft Access 2010, and in Microsoft Excel 2010. Obviously, this is an extensive problem. The command worked perfectly in all of these programs in version 12.51.
None of the "that" commands work in these programs unless I am dictating in a dictation box. In version 12.51, the "that" commands worked outside of a dictation box.
8/8/14 -- this is the response I received from tech-support today: " We do apologize for the inconvenience you were having with our software. It appears to be that Thunderbird is not supported by Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 nor Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12."
I have been a Dragon NaturallySpeaking user since version 3.0 in 1998 when Lernout & Hauspie owned the program. I have dutifully upgraded every time a new version has come out, and I never expected to lose any functionality when I promptly paid $99 for version 13. Nuance needs to address this issue.
If you are having the same problem please post!
