I'm not sure if Nuance staff read these forums (and I can't find any direct way to contact them from the website).
I have used both Dragon Medical 11 & now Medical Practice 3 (in the UK).
Dictating "lipoma" always brings up "lipomatous" in my pathology reporting software window, even though I have trained it many times with this word.

We are very happy with using Dragon software, but there is one problem.
At my company, we are using this document management system. When you open a document for editing from this document editing software, this document is temporary stored in a monitored folder.
When you start editing this document by using dragon, everything seems to be working ok. The spoken text is added to the document without a problem.
When you stop dictating dragon, the document and the accompanied .dra files are saved. Because our document system monitors this folder where the documents are opened from, the saves are picked up, which is good. Only problem is that the .dra file seems to get saved and is written to our document management system and overwriting the official source document. Rendering dragon naturally speaking kind of useless in combination with this document management system.
My question is:
Are there people out there having similar issues?
is there a way to redirect the saving of the .dra file to another location?

I'm using NaturallySpeaking 15 professional professional individual and I would like to add my voice to the request for Google Docs support.
Right now, even though I get the green dot saying that advanced editing features are available and I should be of the dictate accurately into the Google Docs environment, I can't. Advanced editing features do not work. Frequently the first letter of a dictated series of words is capitalized (Llike this).

I am using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12.5 for Windows with Word 2003. It works very well indeed but for the last few days when I dictate <open quote> it types " but then moves the cursor in front of the quotation mark rather than typing after it. When I then dictate <close quote> it types " so the typing looks like this:
I said sit down!"" instead of "I said sit down!"
This is somewhat irritating and I don't know why it started doing it. I have turned the computer off and restarted NaturallySpeaking a number of times but without any success.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Apart from an incredibly slow (2-3h) installation, Dragon 15 is also pasting material randomly, and repeatedly, into a document that I am creating. These have included screen shots from SnagIt, deleted sections of the existing document, and cells from an Excel spreadsheet. Never had anything like these problems with previous versions.
I did remedy the poor speech recognition that I initially experienced by creating a new profile. I am wasting so much time that it won't be much longer before I go back to Dragon Premium 13, which was largely reliable and trouble free.

I just upgraded to Dragon Professional Individual vision 15. I am a long-time user of Dragon products (since version 4) so I am familiar with the install process and associated behaviours.
I'm installing onto a desktop with a i7 processor, Windows 10, and eight gigs of DDR4 RAM.
Install process seems to work okay though you wouldn't call it verbose.
Problems arise when trying to dictate. I dictate into dictation box and/or DragonPad and/or MS Word and the icon appears but nothing is transcribed into the editing space. When I switch the microphone off then Dragon will transcribe portions of what I have dictated.
I have spoken with a helpful individual on the helpdesk who advised me that the best option would be to uninstall program and reinstall it from scratch. I have done this SIX times but to no avail.
Is anybody else having this sort of problem? And if you are, have you managed to find a workable solution?

I would be grateful if someone could explain why my software, when doing an "About", declares it is now unregistered since it was upgraded to v 3.0.4 for Mac?

Having trouble with profile and microphone turning on. Finally called Nuance, the Home 12 is not compatible with Windows 10. It will work sometimes but not all the time. Even with updates, not compatible. Had to end up purchasing the Home 13 to be compatible with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 13. Found out the Home 13 is not compatible with Microsoft office 16. So many COMPATIBILITY ISSUES.

RE: Dragon Naturally Speaking 13 Home - We customized the hot keys with the help Tech support back in 12/2015 within the ProgramData file itself to (copy of Tech Support Notes is posted as IMAGE to see what we did in 2015) - the Mic on/off is currently:

CTRL 1 - turn mic on/off
Microphone Hot Key=49,4
We now would like to change it (as CTRL 1 is not a convenient hot key shortcut to turn the mic on/off.) We'd like to change the Microphone Hot Key to: ALT `/~ or ALT 1/!
We cannot do it through the Tools - Options as we have it hard coded in the ProgramData file already. I've tried Tech Support three times already and can't seem to get someone who knows the ProgramData. They keep telling me Tools - Options only -- which doesn't work for me.
What is the code / hot key assignment to change the Microphone Hot Key to ALT `/~ or ALT 1/! in the ProgramData?

I have some applications that record duplicate characters. For example, in 'IDLE' the Python development application, when I enter normal mode, say 'caps off' and then 'credit' I get the following text:
CreDdIits
now, after saying "undo that", I get the following text:
CreDd
and the 2nd time:
Cre
and the 3rd time deletes the last 3 characters.
I am able to dictate normally in Notepad and some other applications, and would like to know if this problem is truly unique to Python, or if it is a common problem found in other applications. If it is a common problem. I'd like to know how to get around it.

Over the past couple of months, a few of my clients have started having trouble with Dragon Version 2.0
(12.53.350.033)
-- It's repeating letters or periods.
For example, if I dictate "mask," it will type mmask, or if I dictate, "he came home." it will type "home.." with 2 periods at the end of the word.
Talked with Dragon support multiple times and they have been little help. I understand that Dragon was not built to integrate with the EMR i use, PRACTICE FUSION, however every other version of dragon works without any problem. so it must be related to Dragon 2.0.
Here are a few steps i have taken, below
- Switched browsers. still double letters.
- Switched computers to see if it was a computer problem. problem still occurs.
- Reverted to an older version of windows. didn't fix anything.
- Rolled back the Dragon user profile settings a couple months. nothing.
- Restored User Profiles. Nothing.
- Changed the accuracy of the microphone to Most accurate. nothing.
- Changed the USB microphone settings that come nativily with Windows. no fix
I have seen that people have had similar issues in the past. However mine is more specific with the troubleshooting steps already taken.
Can anyone help? Do you have this issue as well?

Has anyone ever been able to get NaturallySpeaking to work with a Terminal Emulator such as Putty, SecureCRT or Tera Term? Ideally I would like to find a terminal emulator that would accept native speech rec from NaturallySpeaking, but a close second would be to use the Dictation Box. When I try to dictate to these applications, it brings up the Dictation Box. When I select the Transfer button, nothing gets transferred to the applications. Any thoughts?

I get an error when trying to re-install 14 Pro. See attached.It says try re-installing - but this does not work. I just get into a loop. Please advise.
Note - There is no repair option, as stated in the error message, when I re-run the install.

I bought a new computer.
Put in my DRAGON Naturally Speaking Premium 12 DVD...
Installation went fine till I had to put in activation code but I can't find it!!!
It's not on the DVD. Don't have cover...
How can I retrieve my activation code???

I started out with DNS 12 on two Windows 7 system and 1 Windows 8.1. DNS automatically upgraded to version 12.5. I just bought and installed 13. I use DNS to dictate legal documents. These are very complex, and I must be very specific. Every word counts and typos are frowned upon.
98% of my work is dictating to Microsoft office professional plus 2010. Specifically, Word.
Unfortunately, I have a very consistent problem the prevails across my various systems and versions. My cursor will lose focus and jump randomly above or below where I am dictating. It is not always possible to catch it. I have seen that others have similar problems. How do we fix this?
Is enormously frustrating, and sometimes pretty anti-productive.
I have tried a variety of microphones, and other configurations. Generally, the equipment that I am using seems pretty good. The real problem is the cursor jumping around.

I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for a number of years, but after upgrading my computer to Windows 10, Dragon now frequently (but not always) repeats the first character of a spoken phrase. This can either be a [space], a "." or other punctuation,, or a character. I'm refraining from editing this paragraph so that you can hopefully see examples.
I never noticed this with any other version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking or Windows operating system. Is this an incompatibility of driving with Windows 10? Is there a service pack that I need? Or need to upgrade Dragon? Any advice is appreciated!

-Windows 10 Home,, Version 1607,, OS Build 14393.321, 64 bit

I want to navigate a document with multiple [bracketed] entries and assign a user-defined command that would allow me to delete an entry and move to the next field. I could then assign this to the custom right button.
I tried using Macro Recorder but it is slow as molasses on January day.
I tried using Step-by-Step but it refused Send Keys Ctrl+Shift+N and just refused to let me type the N. It was stuck as Ctrl+Shift+. If entered A, it accepted it just fine.
I tried advanced scripting as follows:
Sub Main
SendKeys "{Del}"
SendKeys "{Ctrl+Shift+n}"
End Sub
It deletes just fine, but it won't highlight the next field. I get an error message:

Please use MyCommands Editor to make the appropriate corrections.
If I use SendDragonKeys it just deletes only and I get no error. SendSystemKeys seems to work but only a little faster than macro recorder.
What can I do to get a faster command?
Would it work if I assigned Next Field to a different hot key combo like Ctrl+Shift+A and used that instead in the script or will Dragon categorically refuse any key combination associated with next field?

Those of us who use Dragon for PC in English and also work in Brazil are in great need of a Portuguese version. In addition, many of my Brazilian colleagues would buy it. I don't understand why Nuance would ignore half of the South American continent, not to mention millions of Portuguese speakers in the United States (over 1 million in MA alone) and major countries in Africa and Europe. Brazil has a population of over 200 million. This product needs to be developed ASAP.
