Problem using Plantronics Voyager Legend (BT300M) with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. (7 Comments)

As it is shown on the hardware compatible list, Plantronics Voyager Legend UC is supported and working very good. My only question is: working how?

I have this device, connected my Windows 7 Pro, and it works with all other applications, but not Dragon NaturallySpeaking (DNS). When I'm trying to adjust my new headset, and as I have to speak into the mic for the system to adjust the settings, is where the problem starts.

It seems like the mic is not activated, or that DNS can not activate the mic when I'm about to speak. Is there any way for me to activate the mic manually, or do I need to configure it in a special way?

Need some help or guidance of how to setup the headset using DNS, from start to finish.

Any help is appreciated.

The user profile name is invalid!

Hi guys!

I have a big problem in setting up my new profile in the software. when the software (after installing) wants to setup first profile for me, after i read the specific text in the "Read text to configure your microphone" window, i got an error that says:

"The user profile name "???? ???? ???????" is invalid."

I know that this error is because of my arabic profile name, but i don't know how to solve this problem! because it doesn't let me go further without making a new profile. my user name in windows is in arabic and this cause the above problem. i tried changing my user name, but it didn't work and i got the same error!

My windows is Win10 and i have version 13 of the software.

Of course we all see occasional errors, some of which are funny and some of which are embarrassing. This one is both: I wonder if it only affects the British English version? Try saying:  "I can choose which night to use dialysis."

how I fear I may have to remove the word knight from Dragon. :-(

In the past Dragon has embarrassed me when using the word compassionately (which Dragon rendered as come passionately)..

just installed 11, up dated to 11.5. Used it in the game of world of tank, worked fine but made the game do weird things turned it off, went back and played the game. Next-day went to turn on Dragon,and when it loaded error code came up should not be run in elevated mode. So I uninstalled it reinstalled it. Same problem,got on the form. Found a uninstall tool to make sure I got it all out. Reinstall same problem. Hope someone out there can help me. Thanks

I would like to request an enhancement to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12.5 and above that would allow me to shut down and exit Dragon from the command line, as well as backup my profile.  I use Linux and UNIX extensively as well as the Windows command line.  I script as much as I can to reduce the things I have to do to accomplish a set task, such as moving my mouse and clicking through menus.

Hi , I have Dragon Naturally Speaking Home Edition v13.

I am unable to dictate in OneNote 2013 & Excel, The software does not even display the dictation box when I try and talk while in OneNote. My understanding is that Microsoft Office 2013 is fully supported?

It works fine in Outlook.

A error comes up in Excel advising the plug is not loaded?

Please help!

I have been using DNS for about a month.  It works great in Outlook.  It works terribly in Excel and Powerpoint.  It works fine at dictation in these programs but not at recognizing even simple voice commands.  For example, I might say "Move to cell A1" and it will think I said "Mail it to...".  I have no such trouble when using DNS is Outlook.  It recognizes all my commands.

The add-in for Excel is there and enabled.  I don't see one in Powerpoint.

Here's my system info:

Windows 7,64bit.  DNS Prof 11.5.  MS Office 13.

Office Professional 2016 - MS Word Error

Dictation is not possible or is restricted for the current window due to the Dragon add-in for 'MS Word' not being loaded.

In MS PowerPoint. I don't get any error message. But the dictation does not work within office. 

Looking all over for help. I haven't found anything through a Google search or in this forum.

Dragon worked for me during the initial setup phase but then would not open.

 

The following are error messages that I began to get. One re:daemonprocess.exe might not have anything to do with the lack of Dragon functionality but the others might.

 

Can anyone help me to fix this?

I used the installation CD to do an installation repair but this did not fix the problem.

Help me please! I'm completely paralyzed and not able to control the computer with your hands. Only voice! Please tell me How to cut text on websites( for example: any message from Skype, Facebook and so on).
On the dictation Box, a text document,DragonPad all goes well.

How to Get Rid of 'Please say that again' box?

Whenever I type something that is not understood a box shows up that says, "Please say that again". How do you get rid of this and the small green Dragon logo (that sticks around when it's processing what you're saying) altogether?

Why doesn't Dragon support "sentence" or "paragraph" commends in email programs?

I'm using DNS 14 legal. It seems Dragon supports selecting paragraphs or sentences in Microsoft Word, but not in Outlook. Here's an excerpt from a post I found on another website:

"With Microsoft Word you can use all the features of Word to do your formatting. For example you can say "select sentence" and you can just pick one sentence that you want to cut and paste and move around.  Also you can say "select paragraph" and just pick up a paragraph and move it around. You can also move the cursor anywhere you want.

When you're in your e-mail client you cannot select paragraphs and sentences but you can select a phrase or a line."

Anybody know why DNS allows you to select sentences or paragraphs in Microsoft Word, but not in Microsoft Outlook? Any good workarounds?

Dragon does not respond to voice

I installed a new set of headphones and my Dragon stopped responding. I have checked all my audio settings and my mic passed the audio test and the Windows audio test but Dragon does not wake up the mic on voice command and it does not respond to any voice command even if mic is opened manually. It is like it is dead. I do not know what to do. I have tried all troubleshooting tricks and tips and everything says my headphones and mic are in working order. Please someone help me! I use this for work and am lost without it...

Where Is the Transcribe Button in 12.5

I want to do some transcription from an audio file and from what I've read online one needs to use a the transcribe button in order to do this.  Problem is I don't see it under tools in the menu on the tool bar.

Does Dragon Naturally Speaking version 12.5 have a transcribe button?

How to format a paragraph?

My dragon is formatted to make new paragraphs in block style with two double spacings between the old and new paragraph. I write fiction so need to format in regular style with double spacing for the document and the left side .5 indentation. How do I reformat to accomplish this? Thank you

Setting up the profile to allow dictation

Hi,

I cannot get to first base with DNS 13 Premium. I have not been able to switch on the microphone, or complete the profile set up to allow dictation. I just keep going around in circles.  Just once I saw a window to insert port information for microphone set up, but I have not been able to get back to it.

Sorry, but I do not understand why I am unable to phone Nuance and speak to a person, for them to walk me through the set up.  I have been through the Help listings but did not find them helpful.

Whether it is possible to disconnect Dictation box completely that even words automatically weren't written?
To use the program only for commands.

DNS 13 - Cannot scan my sent Gmail (4 Comments)

I have just upgraded to DNS 13, one of the reasons I did this was because I mostly use it for Gmail, and it's supposed to be able to scan my sent messages to learn my writing style. I tried to do this and got an authentication error. As per the warning email I got from Google that something was trying to access my account, I temporarily reduced the security on my Gmail account and tried again. However after several seconds, DNS displayed the message "Folder () does not exist". What do I need to do to get it to scan my sent messages?
