Has anyone else had problem after problem with Dragon 13 on Windows 10? I am running into error after error, freezing, and problems with my keyboard. I can't be the only one. Are they coming out with a fix?

I have tried several different microphones but it will not turn on! I have dragon professional individual which worked fine for one week and now the microphone button is greyed out and I can not click it to turn it on. I am on windows 7. Has anyone else had this problem?

About 10 days ago I received an automatic upgrade to Microsoft Office since my university apparently upgraded its site license to office 2016.
My DNS 13 works fine with Word 2016 but does not connect directly to Outlook 2016, which for me is a major problem. I tried removing the Outlook DNS Add-in and then reinstalling it by adding it back but I get an error message about dgnouttlook.dll not being valid.
I then tried re-registering that DLL but that didn't help either.
Does anyone know how to get the DNS 13 Outlook add-in to work with Outlook 2016?

I want to be able to preserve the audio of my dicatations so I followed the directions and in the options tab/data tab/advanced button I choose to "always perserve wave data". After having issues with WORD i noticed that you need to save the file first before you start dictation so I did that. According to the help files I should be automatically prompted to save the wave data but that is not happening. I called the tech support and they told me the Premium Edition does not support this function. I'm just wondering if this is true as I was confused as to why I was able to choose this option and there were detailed instructions on how to do it in the help files?

Probable Cause and Symptom:
The Dictation Box for some reason is forcing to keep focus, when the user attempts to click on any of the buttons: Transfer, Cancel, Help, Settings…
Therefore, Dragon/AutoCAD appears to be "stuck" = not usable, but the rest of the computer is still operating.
Note:
The Dictation Box works as expected with other programs.
Workaround
I discovered that if you click on the button (e.g. Transfer) quickly and repeatedly, one of the clicks gets through.
However, this workaround does not always work, and not perfect solution.

Good People,
Does Nuance actually provide ratings for various headset models? I am in IMMEDIATE NEED of a new headset, and my nursing home has agreed to pick up the cost because their staff damaged my last set.
I have identified two possible/likely vendors. One advertises that all of its models have been certified by Nuance as having a 5 rating for Dragon. The other site goes even further. They say their models have received a "6 Dragon" rating – presumably very high up there.
So does Nuance actually provide such ratings, or is this some marketing charade? If the company does, that would seem to be a treasure chest of information any reasonable user of DNS would love to get access to.
So are these dealers correct? If so, are we able to access Nuance's complete evaluation list?
Again, I am on a severe time crunch! Any IMMEDIATE HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

We are very happy with using Dragon software, but there is one problem.
At my company, we are using this document management system. When you open a document for editing from this document editing software, this document is temporary stored in a monitored folder.
When you start editing this document by using dragon, everything seems to be working ok. The spoken text is added to the document without a problem.
When you stop dictating dragon, the document and the accompanied .dra files are saved. Because our document system monitors this folder where the documents are opened from, the saves are picked up, which is good. Only problem is that the .dra file seems to get saved and is written to our document management system and overwriting the official source document. Rendering dragon naturally speaking kind of useless in combination with this document management system.
My question is:
Are there people out there having similar issues?
is there a way to redirect the saving of the .dra file to another location?

I just discovered that Auto-Transcribe is not part of Premium13. My mistake: I bought this version thinking Auto-Transcribe came with it. Apparently I must upgrade to Professional. I need to know if current, registered owners of DNS get a price break when upgrading and where to go for such information. Thank you.

I've been using Premium13 regularly for months. Today is started the program and it has lost all accuracy in recognizing my voice. If I dictate a sentence with 8 words, it will put up 3 or 4, and they won't all be correct. If I go to the "spell that" window, nothing appears in it. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening and what I should do? I have not changed anything on my PC to have caused this.

Hello,
I am just using this software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 Premium) for the first time. It's really expensive (I have paid €150 Euros - I haven't paid so much for *any* software before!), and I think that it should work out-of-the-box on Windows 10 64bit Prof.
But it doesn't.
So far I have noticed three serious issues including a crash that reproduces 100% of the time, one minor issue, one problem with integration in other software, a terrible loading-time, and a missing critical feature. Apart from that, I think that it's unthinkable to offer a 2 1/2 years-old-software where *no* patch or update is available:
- Minimized dragon bar
When I minimize the dragon bar to the taskbar, it will always show for a moment on top of the screen, when I hit the Windows key or press the Windows button with my mouse.
- Access keys - Crash
When I try to edit the access keys in settings, the program crashes. I didn't find a workaround, so I cannot edit the access keys. I use the default Num+ key very often in the calculator app and elsewhere.
- Loading with minimized dragon bar
When I start the program, I get *three* notifications (with sound) from Windows that the application is now minimized.
- Chrome (Chrome 54) is black
While the application is running, the Chrome webbrowser is completely black, and therefore unusable. As a workaround I can disable hardware-acceleration in Chrome, but I *need* that for work.
- Loading-time
The loading time of this software is terrible. It takes - like - ages to load. I don't think I have to say any more.
- Integration in other software
I want dictation to work in *any* textfield of any software in Windows. But this only works with a (I'm sorry..) crappy-looking input-window. This is where you got me angry.
- Missing feature to dictate in non-focused software
I bought this software, so I can dictate into a chat app, while I am using some other software. This is simply not possible. But my money is gone.
Please respond, if any of you who reads this has a workaround or fix for some of the mentioned issues.
Why isn't there any update or patch available? This software is 2 1/2 years old. That's very irritating.
Come on, Nuance. Show me that you are serious about this, now.

I write research papers and use Dragon 13. Last semester, I didn't need Dragon, but this semester, I'm back to research papers, but I can't get the program to work. I use Windows 10. My little dragon icon is missing, and I'm unable to dictate, even in the dialog box. The mic will turn green, and my profile is there. I had already uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I depend on this program, and I could use some help!!! Thanks in advance!

I like the 'New DragonBar', but is there a way to position it to the bottom of the screen or anywhere else? I like that it automatically minimizes itself, so I don't want to dock the full bar anywhere, I just don't want the minimized one at the top of my screen right in the middle of my Internet browser tabs. Is there anyway to fix that?

The "open new tab"/"close tab" commands have mysteriously suddenly stopped working for me with Dragon Home 13 on Windows 10. The commands still work in Mozilla Firefox.
Here is what I am using:
Windows 10 64-bit
Dragon Home 13
Google Chrome version 54
Dragon Naturally Speaking extension for Google Chrome version 15 (and it is enabled)

Is there an optimal order of installation on a new machine? Windows 8, updating to 8.1. I know to turn off the typing features in Windows settings. Installing Office 2007, Dragon 12. The first time the machine had a defective LED so starting over with a new one. The first one had doubled characters often at the beginning of dictations, not just when starting Dragon but after pauses in speech. Did not occur in Word, which was installed first, but in email and other programs online. Not having this issue on other machine, Windows 7 with Dragon Home but did early on. I just bought Dragon Home Edition 12 and am in the process of setting up my profile. I'm at the "Read Training Text" window. When I press "Go", it notifies me that I need to turn the Dragon Remote Microphone on by pressing the button, as the button is showing red. I understand that the red button means it's turned off, but when I press it to turn the microphone on, it tells me "User profile is not ready for dictation" and won't turn on. I know the microphone and headphones are operational because my computer is reading both of them when I go to the Control Panel. Nothing in the directions is giving me help as to what I may be doing wrong or how to proceed. Any troubleshooting answers I find touch around my problem, but nothing directly related to what's happening here. Can anyone help? What have I missed?

Should the speech file stay connected to the text file after saving? Currently after I save and close the text file after transcribing, if I open the text and try the playback command I get the error, "no speech available. playback stopped."
Is there a way to save my text file, close it and keep it connected to the audio file from which it was created?
Basically I cannot always finish correcting a transcription in one sitting, so I want to be able to save it and reopen and finish correcting it later.

I recently bought Dragon Naturally Speaking. When I tried to use it with Microsoft Excel, I get an error message that dictation is not possible or is restricted because the add-in for Excel is not loaded (see below). I select help from the error dialog box and follow the instructions for registering the Excel add-in. When I run the command I get a message that it was successful. However I still get the same error message when trying to use Dragon with Microsoft Excel.
I am running Windows 10 and I have Dragon Naturally Speaking 13.00.000.202 and Excel 2010. The Natspeak Excel Add-in is shown as active when I look in Options for Excel.
